Nintendo Switch 2 y la polémica de la compatibilidad: la lista de juegos que no funcionarán

Con la confirmación oficial de Nintendo Switch 2, la emoción de los fanáticos se ha visto opacada por una inesperada controversia: no todos los juegos de la consola original serán compatibles con el nuevo hardware. A pesar del enorme éxito de la primera Switch, que desde su lanzamiento en 2017 ha dominado el mercado en ventas tanto de consolas como de juegos, la compatibilidad con la nueva generación no será total.

Si bien la mayoría del catálogo parece funcionar sin inconvenientes, algunos juegos han quedado fuera de la ecuación, generando dudas sobre qué sucederá con ellos en el futuro.

¿Se solucionará el problema?

Según la información proporcionada por la compañía, en muchos casos la falta de compatibilidad podría solucionarse mediante actualizaciones, pero esto depende de los desarrolladores de cada título. En la web oficial, Nintendo ha indicado que "actualmente estamos discutiendo la política de respuesta con el fabricante", lo que sugiere que algunos estudios podrían optar por lanzar parches de actualización para sus juegos.

Sin embargo, también existe la posibilidad de que ciertos títulos nunca lleguen a ser compatibles con Switch 2, ya sea porque sus desarrolladores ya no existen o porque no están interesados en invertir recursos en adaptar juegos que consideran amortizados. Esto ha generado incertidumbre entre los jugadores que esperaban una transición fluida entre generaciones.
